5.大會背景：Background:
今年五月十二日四川強震造成的災難，牽動了全球同胞的心。在此之前，緬甸風災、江南雪災，
也分別造成了巨大的生命和財產的損失。天-地-人的和諧遭到空前破壞，使得地球反常，
人類遭受滅頂之災。本屆大會將結合東西方醫學、東西方智慧和東西方哲學、文化與現代
科學技術，特別應用具有五千年歷史的中醫理論和模式，以全新的視角、多維空間的方式，
重新認識人體、地球及宇宙世界的和諧。
During the first half year of 2008, China encountered two major disasters: a severe snow
storm in southern China and the devastating Sichuan earthquake. Also during this time a deadly tropical storm occurred in Burma in Southeast Asia resulted in a death toll of nearly 200,000 and displaced many more. There were many other such disasters and losses throughout the world. Having been through these catastrophes, many of the people of the
 area have experienced a spiritual crisis in their personal lives. The Earth we live on and
 human beings that live on it are facing a critical time. As a result, we need to take
 immediate action to help save the earth and provide solutions for all of mankind.

This Conference and the Post-Conference Training Workshop have been approved by the California Acupuncture Board, CEP #259, and the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP #13283, for 8 hours of continuing education.
